For starters, I am only half way through the book. I like that it is clean with no violence, just some mild action. But I have to say (and the reason I am writing this early), the grammar is driving me bonkers! The author has misspelled words every other page, quotations marks out of place (or missing) on EVERY page and she is a bit comma crazy not wanting to separate sentences. Now. I did get this book while it was free so, technically, I shouldn't expect too much. But I usually get my books (at least the cozy mysteries) free and they have very few editing problems. I do intend to finish the book. My hope is that because she has further books in this series, the grammar will get better. Oh, yes, I just remembered. And if the grammar problems didn't bother me enough, in every chapter (sometimes multiple times) people laugh so hard they cry. That happens to me maybe once a year. Have read all the books and decided to start over again from the beginning. I forgot how funny the first book was. Can't wait till the next book.
This was a very enjoyable suspense with lots of humor. Enjoyed all of the characters and the story line. Even though it doesn't state anywhere what year this takes place it's obviously in the 1950's. The suspense stems from actions taken in France during WWII 13 years previously. Mike & Peter are serious FBI agents who accidently find themselves in some pretty funny situations but they do get the job done. Their squabbling with each other is fun also. I'm looking forward to more in the series and reading the stories of the other chars.
My only negative is that the editing really needs some work. Wrong words (Ex residents vs residence, ridding vs riding) and chars. names mixed up quite often distracted some but I've gotten pretty used to that with self published ebooks and it wasn't so bad I wouldn't keep reading. I am very much for authors self publishing! This was very clean also. I will definitely be getting each as they come out.

Great story line and characters. Good stories for young people and anyone wanting a good but easy amusing read. I overlooked the errors and enjoyed the story. Nice but rainy day book.

I'm an avid reader and a history buff. I thought it was very bright of Ms. Gabrio to create a believable and entertaining, modern day response to an actual historical event.
This was a great story, but it was somewhat distracting due to the misspelled words and poor punctuation. The characters were well developed and likable.
While the grammar does leave something to be desired, the story was fun, fast-paced, and kept me interested. Defintely a great book to read together as a family!
